Details & History
This nightstand is a classic example of mid-century modern design from the former Yugoslavia, likely produced by the renowned manufacturer Meblo in the 1960s or 1970s. Meblo pieces are highly prized for their functional, minimalist aesthetic—influenced by Scandinavian design—as well as for their excellent craftsmanship using high-quality veneers. The warm wood tones, clean lines, and iconic tapered legs are hallmarks of the era, making these pieces particularly desirable for collectors seeking authentic vintage interior decor. Market value is determined by the preservation of the piece’s original finish and materials, as well as by the enduring popularity of the MCM style in modern residential design. Its compact and versatile profile ensures that it remains a must-have for vintage furniture enthusiasts.
Care Tips
Proper furniture care helps preserve its appearance, materials, and lifespan. When cleaning wooden furniture, use a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry it thoroughly. Avoid excessive water, abrasive products, and harsh detergents.Caring for rattan requires regular dusting, especially between the fibers, using a soft brush or cloth. For upholstered furniture, vacuum gently and treat stains promptly with a suitable product. Before cleaning, test the product on an inconspicuous area and follow the recommendations for each material.
